TETFund Commissions Iconic Office Complex at Adamawa State University

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has commissioned an iconic TETFund-sponsored office complex at Adamawa State University, Mubi, named after the former Vice Chancellor of the university and current Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Prof. Kaletpwa G. Farauta. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State performed the inauguration alongside TETFund’s Director of Research and Development/Centres of Excellence, Dr. Salihu Girei Bakari, who stood in for the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of TETFund, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, as part of activities marking the institution’s 16th, 17th, and 18th convocation ceremonies which also had Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, and business magnate, Dr. Muhammadu Indimi in attendance. Speaking at the event, Governor Fintiri commended TETFund for its commitment to supporting tertiary education and expressed appreciation to Dr. Girei for his dedication and passion for educational advancement in Adamawa State. In his remarks, Dr. Salihu Bakari Girei expressed delight to be part of the ceremony, noting that his humble efforts at ensuring the development of Adamawa institutions was a way of giving back to his home state. He recalled his years as Executive Secretary of the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB), where he earned a reputation as an “ambassador of education” through the construction and renovation of hundreds of schools across the state’s 21 local government areas.
